Ok, far too many people have been asking me why I am no longer in RSS. I thought I would set the record straight.

Below find two emails.

The first is from Bob & Rob to me, telling me I was no longer welcome in RSS.

       The second is the response that I sent to them. I never got a single response from them. In my own mind, their statement is bogus and not the real reason they wanted me to leave, but that's subjective.

Below are the facts regardless of my own thoughts.

I was on the server as MoHDoG last evening and was treated, as an unknown player to the server, rather badly. Not within 5 minutes after you came on were you using your punishment on me...obviously you were once again not running your CI software if you had been I would have surely been banned. Rob and I have determined that you immediately drop your RSS tags...your admin status and all connection passwords have been revoked as of today as well. You have quite often been abusive and unfair to incoming players on the server and quite frankly, you just do not play well with others. Careful consideration has gone into this decision and is by no means soley based on last nights events.

                Wow, sorry Bob. I had no idea MoHDoG was you. It appeared to me that MoHDoG was hacking, after coming around a corner shooting at me several times, and the last time I was crouched behind an open door and the player came in and came around the door shooting behind it. Sure seemed that way to me.   Guess I'm not the best at identifying hackers. However, Rob has told me time and time again that if I (or anyone) suspect someone of cheating, he'll back us up 100%. I made my call, apparently it was the wrong one. Actually, I was running my CI software when MoHDoG was on, I have been rather religious about that since Rob said if I wasn't interested he'd pass it off to one of the newer admins. I would think that there's a log on the server that will show my CI id was in fact logged in when I was punishing MoHDoG. Matter of fact, check the logs and you'll see I've pretty much had CI up every time I come on for the past few months or so. So yes, you would have been banned, except for the fact that I was suspecting several players at the same time of hacking, and I was rather frantically popping back and forth to try and catch them. It was all I could do to just punish MoHDoG while I went in search of the right "ban" button (as I've said before, I find the CI interface very klunky and a bit hard to navigate). You could have at least said "hey Jay, it's me", and I would have realized my error. I must admit being a little puzzled by the "abusive and unfair" depiction. I am probably the only one that pretty consistently welcomes people to the server when they come on. I've very frequently (and again as recently as 3 or 4 days ago) taken someone who hadn't been playing that well and stopping playing and coach them on strategies, good map spots, etc. (see conversation {if the server logs allplayer speak} with PrivateParts recently) I've also taken to switching to pistols whenever I get too far ahead of anyone, to try and keep it even/fair. Very often when I get ahead of someone I'll start shooting around them, intentionally missing, just trying to keep them interested. You know this, and you have seen it. There has been only one notable exception - about two weeks ago I had a really bad day, and came home and got online to just kick butt and take out my frustrations in the game. That ONE day, I showed no mercy. You were on chatting with me on TS at the time, and I told you about it, what I was doing, why, etc. I believe your reply was something along the lines of "it's all good" and "sometimes ya just gotta". I'm also puzzled by the "(I) just don't play well with others". After being accused of cheating, I got along fine with both Jim and Dave (as I recall, the folks that accused me). And trust me, getting along with Dave was no easy feat after that, but Rob requested it and I went out of my way to get along even with Dave. Odd, I was actually pretty confident I succeeded. Apparently from what you say I failed in every regard. I would honestly think that past performance, honesty, and friendship would have given me the benefit of the doubt, at the very least to have a discussion if you felt I was heading in the wrong direction. When you guys wanted to chat this morning, I had only hopped on for a few minutes to play while wife was dressing and we were headed out the door. I didn't have time to play more than a few minutes and when I said that, I got booted. Wow. Apparently there has been things brewing that I've been unaware of, and sure wish someone would have said something earlier. At the least, a chance to discuss it would be merited I think. When I got online tonight, Dave asked if I'd seen my email. I looked and didn't see anything. Apparently my ezwind address was holding a few emails that weren't going to my client via pop, I had to log into the web interface to see it. That's when I got this email. However, obviously the decision has been made already. I thought I had very real friendship, trust, and respect with the other RSS players, even Dave, and especially you Bob. Apparently somehow I've lost that and for whatever the team feels I've done to merit this, my apologies. I'll drop the tags of course, glad I was able to wear them for a while. I'll miss the folks in RSS.
